Abstract 

The College of Education is one of the colleges of the Al-Ayen Iraqi University (AUIQ). It was established in 2023 to share the rest of the colleges in fulfilling the educational mission of university, to contribute in confrontation of the increasing demand of Iraqi youth for higher education, and to fill the significant shortage in secondary educational staff in the governorate and throughout Iraq, and with the aim of preparing male and female teachers for secondary and high schools. This preparation lasts for four years, using the integrated semester system. The student receives his specialized lessons in one of the college’s departments (chemistry and English language) and, at the same time, receives educational and psychological lessons and practical training in teaching. Then, after completing their specialized and educational studies, they're awarded a certificate that qualifies them to teach in secondary education.

 The college was allocated in a distinguished location in the city center - Imam Ali Street (peace be upon him). Its building consists of four floors to accommodate students within spacious study halls and scientific laboratories equipped with the latest technical specifications that enable the student to acquire the required skills.

 The college provides an appropriate scientific, educational, and practical environment. It includes a distinguished group of professors in various scientific specializations and adopts a precise study plan for the bachelor’s degree, which includes specialized courses, and auxiliary and supportive courses, which enrich a wide spectrum of the student’s awareness, expand his intellectual and practical capabilities and capabilities, and prepare him to become a...  God is one of the contributors to building and progressing the nation.

 The College of Education seeks to be a pioneer in preparing teachers based on the latest research in education and providing scientific expertise that provides students with the necessary specialized knowledge and skills to upgrade the society to pace the rapid social changes in the country, and to preserve them to develop the meaning of teaching, learning, scientific research and community service.  

 The college aims to raise good generations who will bear the burdens to achieve the comprehensive development of society and to build up the personality in an integrated manner to acquire knowledge, inclinations and skills, develop innovative capabilities, and train to use the scientific method of thinking to confront and solve problems. In addition to preparing and encouraging students to play a positive role in the field of scientific research, and contributes in the field of scientific progress, in science and arts to be professionals and responsible members of society, as well as establishing and implementing a system to develop all auxiliary academic programs to contribute to community service through continuous interaction between colleges on one hand and the environment and society on the other hand, with the aim of spreading cultural, social, educational and scientific awareness.

 In addition to preparing qualified staff to contribute in the comprehensive development service that Iraq seeks and is witnessing in various areas of life, through the ability to fill specialized positions in the public and private sectors.

                                                                                   Objectives of the Chemistry Department

 The department aims to graduate staff who are familiar with the fundamentals of practical and cognitive chemistry in its various branches (organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, biological, and industrial chemistry) and have the ability to teach these principles and skills in addition to solving scientific problems using scientific research methods and are familiar with the basics of educational psychology, teaching methods, and educational foundation, and are able to manage the educational and pedagogical process in educational institutions. It also emphasizes the applied aspect of the importance of chemistry in industry, agriculture, the environment, medicine, and other facilities of life.

                                                                             Objectives of the English Department

 The general goals that the department seeks to achieve through its programs are to prepare a generation of teachers for secondary education who have the ability to teach English language vocabulary in those educational sessions. And to prepare a graduate who uses the English language and is proficient in the four skills (understanding, comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing). Developing students’ literary taste and aesthetic sense through teaching the English language and using techniques to achieve integration between other methodological aspects and introducing them as an essential part of the department’s education programs.
